Sometimes it is possible to come across banknote reproduction about denomination of 5 marks 1940 from the State Securities Printing House (PWPW SA). PWPW to its production added information that it was a reproduction; however there are inventive wheeler-dealers who cut the bar with text and tried to sell this contemporary copy, as the original banknote, in the mint state. PWPW printed all banknotes with the same serial number, so even when the text bar will be cut, a visible serial number will remain (N 838159).
